UAD Signs MoU with BPPB Kemendikbud

Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD) hosted Language and Literature Award Night of Tama Prayojana 2018 on Wednesday (11/14/2018) at campus 4 of UAD on Jln. Lingkar Selatan, Tamanan, Bantul, Yogyakarta. This award was initiated by Yogyakarta Regional Language Center.

In addition to being the host, UAD also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Language Development and Expansion Agency (BPPB) of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) of the Republic of Indonesia. This signing is aimed to improve the cooperation in the field of language of UAD and BPPB of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The Rector of UAD, Dr. Kasiyarno, M. Hum., in his speech expressed his gratitude for the trust given to UAD as the host of this award event. "We really appreciate the recognition given by the language center. Besides that, with Tama Prayojana award, the quality of Bahasa Indonesia will be further improved."

Meanwhile, the Head of DIY Language Center, Drs. Pardi, M. Hum., conveyed that Bahasa Indonesia is a national identity. "As a national identity, Bahasa Indonesia must be preserved. Bahasa Indonesia needs to be preserved and developed."

There were several award nominations at this event, including scholar and bureaucracy public figures, public institutions of higher education, hospitals, communication and information media, Javanese books, serious literary books, and popular literary books. (ard)
