CHEMICAL ENGINEERING STUDY PROGRAMS
The Chemical Engineering Study Program was established in 1997 and has become a study program that produces graduates with the ability to manage and utilize natural resources with an environmental perspective to improve the welfare of the community. The quality and professional lecturers of the study program are determined to make the study program meet the current needs of chemical engineering graduates with thorough understanding on the environment. Graduates are entitled to hold the S. T (Bachelor of Engineering) degree.
Vision
To become an internationally recognized study program that is superior in the field of Chemical Engineering with environmental perspective based on Islamic values and can produce graduates with an entrepreneurial spirit
Mision
- To implement Islamic values in all aspects of activities held at the Chemical Engineering Study Program of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan
- To organize learning in the field of Chemical Engineering by honing the entrepreneurial spirit
- To develop applied technology research with environmental perspective by utilizing natural resources
- To carry out community service, especially in the field of applied technology
- To establish collaboration with related institutions and industries to advance the organization of learning, research and community service
Objectives
- To create an Islamic atmosphere in the Chemical Engineering Study Program to produce graduates with a noble character
- To produce graduates who have entrepreneurial spirit, are professional, innovative, and able to compete at national and international levels
- To develop and apply science and technology in the field of Chemical Engineering in the management of natural resources with environmental perspective
- To utilize and disseminate science and technology to meet the needs of the community
- To establish and implement cooperation with institutions and industries at the national and international levels for the development of education, research, and community service
Graduates Prospects
Researchers, lecturers, entrepreneurs, employees at engineering companies (designing and building factories), Agribusiness Industries, Waste Management Units, banking analysts, and other job opportunities
Competence
Graduates have the ability to master the basics of chemical engineering theories and conduct hypotheses, analyses, and use methodology in research as a basis for industrial development. The graduates can also be a creative and innovative person in capturing entrepreneurial opportunities, as well as having the ability to adapt quickly to work in the chemical process industry or institutions in related sectors.
Lecturers
The study program provides 10 lecturers with at least a master’s degree from domestic and foreign universities. Seven of them have taken doctoral degrees in Malaysia and Germany.
Supporting facilities
The main facilities of this study program include administrative office, classrooms, laboratories and library. In addition, there are public university facilities such as seminar rooms, student association rooms, sports venues, polyclinics, mosques, counselling rooms, canteens, language laboratories, and others.
