ISLAMIC BANKING STUDY PROGRAM
Indonesia is the country that has the biggest Muslim population in the world. Thus, Indonesia has a great potential in the development of Islamic Banking Industry. The roadmap of Islamic Banking that has been released by the Department of Islamic Banking and Financial Service Authority (OJK) of the Republic of Indonesia is aimed at encouraging higher education institutions to participate in preparing the improvement of human resource quality and quantity in Islamic Banking. The curriculum for Islamic Banking of UAD is oriented towards the establishment of Nature Islamic Bank, which means that the curriculum is designed to establish graduate culture with three compulsory elements in the Human Resources of Islamic Banking i. e. the first one is the cohesiveness between theory and practice; the second is Islamic, Dynamic, and Professional characteristics; and the third is integrity.
Vision
Becoming a study program that is superior with global perspective in the field of Islamic Banking that is imbued with Islamic and Muhammadiyah values in the year of 2028
Mision
- Conducting education and teaching professionally that is in accordance with Islamic Banking studies based on Islamic and Muhammadiyah values
- Conducting research and development in the discipline of Islamic Banking in response to the need of the community on local, national, and international level
- Conducting community service in the form of teaching and training in Islamic financial literacy in general and Islamic Banking in particular
- Establishing collaboration network extensively with relevant parties with the basis of Islamic and Muhammadiyah values as a guarantee for the continuation of Islamic Banking study program
- Contributing in the development of Islamic Banking Industry with the basis of Islamic and Muhammadiyah values
Objectives
The objectives of Islamic Banking study program of UAD FAI are described as follows:
- Producing graduates who are competent and professional human resources in the field of Islamic Banking
- Producing research that supports the development of education and teaching as well as the industry in Islamic Banking
- Conducting community service in the form of teaching and training in Islamic financial literacy in general and Islamic banking in particular
- Fostering collaboration with institutions that are oriented towards the development of Islamic Banking studies and industry on local, national, regional and international level
- Establishing Islamic Banking industry that is based on Islamic and Muhammadiyah values
Graduate Profile
- Islamic banker with the title of S. E. (Bachelor of Economics), becoming an Islamic banker with great knowledge on the basic concepts of Islamic banking, as well as having managerial skills and professional and religious Islamic banking marketing skills
- Practitioner in Islamic Financial Institutions, becoming a practitioner in a Non-Banking Islamic Financial Industry who has great knowledge on the basic concepts (theory, law and implementation) and issues related to Islamic Financial Institutions

- Islamic Banking (Islamic Commercial Bank and Islamic Rural Bank or BPRS)

Lecturers
Islamic Banking Study Program has 8 permanent lecturers with linear educational background with the following details: 3 (three) lecturers who are currently pursuing their doctoral degree and 5 (five) lecturers with master’s degree. The lecturers are the best graduates from both public and private universities in the field of Islamic Banking with various disciplines and expertise.
