Indonesia is an archipelago with a different geographical arrangement with a large population. This is also influenced by climate change which causes many disasters, both in Indonesia and the world. Indonesia is a country that has potential and vulnerability to disasters, so Indonesia needs doctors ready for disaster. In addition, Indonesian hospitals also still lack general doctors and the availability of specialist doctors is still limited and the distribution is uneven. The role of doctors who are in charge of primary health care facilities is considered important to take part in these conditions as doctors ready for disaster. The Ahmad Dahlan University Medical Education Study Program was established based on the Republic of Indonesia’s Minister of Research and Technology Decree No. 720 / KPT / I / 2017, dated December 13, 2017 Regarding the permission to open a medical education program for undergraduate programs and professional education in professional professions. The UAD Medical Education Study Program answers these problems by making its graduates excel in disaster mitigation and disaster management from the medical side.
